Two satin fabric armbands for use for official reporter during Royal Visit.
One has top band of red with "Royal Visit," middle white band has "Official" and bottom red band has "Reporter"
Other band has a red band on top with "British Royal Visit," middle row of white with "41" and bottom row of blue with "Press." This armband also has a 1.25" diam. pin with red lettering "British Royal Visit Press with '41' in center

Webb Miller was born in 1891 in Sumnerville/Pokagon, graduated from Dowagiac High School around 1910, and went on to become a journalist in Chicago. He covered the Pancho Villa insurrection at the Mexican border in 1915 and landed a job at the United Press. He stayed with UP and covered World War I, Gandhi, Ethiopian War, Spanish Civil War, and came to head UP Europe. He died a mysterious death in 1940.
The collection came from the donor's niece, who received the collection from Webb Miller's daughter—in—law Helene MIller.
