Certificate indicating the sale of Lot 15 in Block 50 of Riverside Cemetery. Sale price: $14.00 to Mr. George Hathaway on Sept. 4, 1886. Pinned to certificate is newspaper death notice of Lila Hathaway, 9 month old daughter of George and Minnie Hathaway. Also attached is newspaper article thanking the public for their kindness at the time of bereavement. Certificate is of particular intrest and value since it it signed by P.D. Beckwith who was mayor at that time.
