Round Oak
Description:
Round Oak Iron Chief Range. One of the first off the production line as a three fuel stove. Burns gas, wood or coal. Came from the Lee house in Dowagiac around 1964. Was in poor condition then, much surface rust. Was sent out for repairs, in about 1992, that were never done and returned back to the museum by 1994. By 1995 the range was cleaned and polished by museum staff. Donors own the Lee house and remolded it for apartments, thus causing the removal of the stove.
