Pocket watch, gold, made by the Waltham Watch Company of Boston, won by Dick Gardner as a member of the Shippers team during the 1914 Round Oak baseball championship series; watch has an open face, backside has "DGB" monogrammed and inside is engraved "Round Oak Baseball Championship 1914"; company information is along rim of inside; lid has maker's stamp with "63117" and "2" stamped underneath; according to donor, watch does not work; inside works has maker's marks, "AWW Co" (American Waltham Watch Co.), "Waltham, Mass. 15 Jewels" and serial number 15695394, indicating watch was made in 1907.

Gold watches were awarded to members of the "Shippers" team during the 1914 baseball championship series played between members of the Round Oak workforce; this was won by Dick Gardner (6/14/1894—?), donor's father and son of Archie Gardner, a manager of the Round Oak Stove Company (see muniment file for information on the baseball games as there are clippings from Dowagiac Daily News)
