Description:
Framed original charcoal drawing of Chief Doe—Wah—Jack, showing the Indian standing with his arms crossed, wearing loincloth with moon in background. Bottom of drawing has artist signature, "Grube HED" and "Doe—Wah—Jack". It is framed in gold period frame with beading trim and green matting. This drawing was used in Round Oak advertising, including in one calendar from the late 1930s.

According to note accompanying the piece, the person from whom the donor's purchased this item claim the drawing was purchased in Michigan and was owned by relatives of the owners of Round Oak. "The artwork actually hung in the offices of the Round Oak Stove Co. for many years."
