Metal spoon, silver. 3.5" handle consistant diameter until last 3/4" to tip it gets larger. The handle is secured to the bowl of the spoon in three places. The bowl is rounded where is connects to the handle and has a flat 1" edge at the other end. The bowl reads "WORLD'S FAIR 1893 BECKWITH'S ROUND OAK DOWAGIAC MICH." On the back of the bowl you can see where the engraving was deep, especially on Dowagiac.
