Description:
Heddon bamboo fly fishing rod shellacked or varnished, with tubular fabric cover and cardboard tube.
.0001a: 34.75"L portion of fishing rod. Near one end is a 7.5"L cork covering. Near that on the rod itself is: "Heddon Deluxe Peerless" and "35 — 8 1/2 —2F — H.Dalton E."
.0001b: 34.5"L second section of rod. Had four metal loops along one side.
.0001c: 34.5"L third section of rod. Had five metal loops along it with one at very end
.0001d: 34.5"L fourth section of rod. Had five metal loops along it with one at very end
.0001e: 36"L khaki colored fabric tube to put fishing rod sections in.
.0001f: cardboard tube, 35.5" x 2" diam., for storing fishing rod sections. Right below metal cap at one end of a gold colored sticker with "Heddon....." etc. on it and places to insert name or number of rod.

Notes:
Fishing rod was given to donor in the 1960s by a Heddon employee who made rods. According to donor he was an eye surgeon and fixed the man's eyesight. He gave this rod to donor as a gesture of thanks. The employee said this was the best rod he ever made and kept it for his own use.
