Description:
Round Oak stove model D—16. This was given to the Museum in a rusted condition but was restored by William Khrone. It is plain black. The doors have 3 knobs, 2 for the doors and one for the vents. It has 2 detachable foot rails, one front and one back. 4 legs say "Round Oak". Bottom vent on left side, this side also says P.D. Beckwith No. 16. The door says "Round Oak Estate of P.D. Beckwith, Dowagiac, Mich. D—16". Inside walls rusted says D—16 inside door. Doors open on left side, you can either open just the bottom or both. Decorative swirls on top, doors & door frame, circumfrence below doors & base. Screws fit into decoration on & around door. Holes for vents are cut to match the design. Footrails are 20" long, Doors together are 14" by 12" and are Legs 8" tall.
