Printing plate, with engraving of Philo D. Beckwith, founder of the Round Oak Stove Company, and his signature beneath it, in reverse; this printing plate was probably used in the printing of the 1906 History of Cass County book; plate is a shiny metal with beveled edges

Bought at Dr. James Burke auction on September 8, 2003. Burke was a former mayor of Dowagiac and at some point he acquired the Mosher collection, related to Sidney, Charles and Harry Mosher—— all former employees at Round Oak, dating to the 1800s (see Cook's book on Round Oak people). Sidney was the father of Harry and Charles, who all were high in the ranks at Round Oak. Donor bought the plate and gave it to Museum immediately—— Thomas Jerdon is a member of the college Board of Trustees

Two other similar printing plates in Museum collection were used in printing of History of Cass County book; plates are of Willis Farr and his wife
