Description:
Heating stove, P.D. Beckwith model, c. 1873, size 18. Stove has a flat top with one removable burner, rope pattern under the hot plate and circles under hte rope pattern. The top door has a flower pattern cast into it while the bottom door has patent dates, from December 14, 1869 to February 11, 1873 cast. Base has "Round Oak" and a rope pattern circling the entire base, which sits atop four plain legs.

The founder of Historic Charlton Park likely acquired this stove decades ago when he was collecting and working on creating HCP. Prior to donating to the Museum at SMC, Historic Charlton Park ran advertisements seeking information—— no new information came of the ads.
