Notes:
Harry Shanafelt (11/19/1887—11/20/1911) worked at the Round Oak prior to developing cancer in his right arm, which was eventually amputated, around 1910; now unable to work at Round Oak, Shanafelt took up selling soap to employees of the Round Oak; this ledger kept track of who he sold soap to and whether they paid—— apparantly one line meant an order, another for payment; the ledger is organized according to which room the worker was employed in and includes the names of most of the men working for Round Oak (at least in the production end) around this time

Donor is grandson of Harry Shanafelt and there is additional information on him and his family in the muniment file
